SILK, Edith Mary Passed away peacefully at home on September 17, 2017 at the age of 97. Her permanent smile and joyful laugh will be forever missed by her grandsons, Darren (Melissa Brown) and Craig (Heather Johnson). Cherished great-grandmother to Alexa, Bobby, Katie, Isabelle and Madalynn. Dear loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her sister Bernadette and brother Jerry. Her husband Lloyd and son Ken, along with her four brothers and one sister were sure to be waiting to welcome her and we can only imagine that she was laughing all the way. Visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St., North York, Friday, September 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Norbert’s, 100 Regent Rd., North York, on Saturday, September 23rd at 9:30 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at Edith’s home. Memorial donations may be made to the Humber River Hospital, the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care who made Edith’s final days at home comfortable or a charity that is close to your heart. Generous with her love, a kind spirit and friend to many, a truly beautiful soul.
