Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Friday, February 3, 2017 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Elsa for 53 years. Loving father of Karen. Cherished uncle of Nancy (Paul), Brian (Jill), Glenn (Melissa), John (Janet), Paul (Karen) and Greg (Kristen). Great-uncle of 7. Predeceased by his brother Emil. Survived by his sisters-in-law Diane Chmeleski and Diane Cherny. Fondly remembered by his extended family, friends and brother Knights. “Whitey” was a member of the Pope John Paul II Council 13811, Past Grand Knight and Past Faithful Navigator Cardinal Wyszynski Assembly 2176. Candidate for Provincial and Federal NDP. Owner of White Eagle Marketing, Trade Union Travel and the Record Store. Relatives and friends will be received at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Avenue (North of Rexdale Boulevard), on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated from Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, 61 Jutland Road, on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Lung Association, St. Felix Centre, St. Francis Table or a charity of your own choice would be appreciated by his family.
