EILEEN MARGARET CHALK August 22, 1929 – June 11, 2017 Eileen passed away in the early hours on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Trillium Hospital in Mississauga. Eileen is lovingly remembered by her sister, Shirley Salter, her niece Claire and nephews Andrew and Michael (Madeleine, Emma and Owen). Eileen grew up in England, just outside London and left the family home in 1957 to immigrate to Toronto where she built a career working for various MPPs in the Ontario Government. She was a fiercely independent woman and made a successful life for herself. She loved animals and enjoyed playing tennis and watching sports. Eileen loved spending time with family and friends. She was a guiding presence, had a wonderful sense of humor often telling jokes and loved to laugh. We will miss her dearly. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Port Credit Residences for their care of Eileen. A private memorial gathering with family will be held. In her memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
