GILBERT, Eileen Margaret It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Juravinski Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, in her 88th year. We take comfort knowing Mom is now with Dad in heaven. Eileen is predeceased by her husband Charles (2014), and is survived by her children Elaine, Anthony (Laurie), Mark (Darlene), John and Jane (Andy); along with her grandchildren Tracy, Bruce (Alicia), Cory (Stephanie), Jodi (Todd), Julie and Peter, and three great-grand- children, Logan, Mickayla and Olivia. Mom was a fun, outgoing person who loved her family very much. Her greatest joy was spending time with them and watching them grow. Mom had a beautiful voice and sang in the choir at Cheyne Presbyterian Church for many years. She played the organ beautifully, and always made sure her family was warm with handmade sweaters and blankets. Mom will be greatly missed by many friends who enjoyed her wonderful spirit. Special thanks to the staff at Macassa Lodge for all of their loving care and to the Surgical and I.C.U. staff at the Juravinski Hospital for their care of our mother and grandmother. Family and friends will be received at the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME , 36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek, on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, 7 King St. W., Stoney Creek, on Saturday, April 15 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
