APRILE, Elaine Daughter of Robert and Rita (deceased), wife of Vince (deceased), sister of Ellen, sister-in-law of John, aunt of Michelle and Mary Beth, great-aunt of Kim, Christine, Scott and Josh. Great-great-aunt of Ally and Charles. Everyone has a story; few have the story of Elaine, who passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 17, 2017. Elaine’s guiding creed was to give unconditionally and allow her faith to take care of her. Elaine was born in her grandparent’s home in Toronto’s west end on May 11, 1949. Elaine shared her childhood with her older sister Ellen along with her two cousins, Betty and Patricia. She had many long life fond memories growing up. Elaine’s teaching career started in the 1960s in Toronto. Elaine was all heart of her students.While bowling at Scarborough’s Cedarbrae Mall, Elaine caught the eye of Vince Aprile. They were married on July 13, 1974 and settled in Scarborough. They had lots of great memories in the 18 years that they were married. Elaine opened up her home to family members: Uncle Hughie, Ritzie and she was specially helpful to Uncle Arnold. She was a socialite and had many good friends. Considering Elaine was ill, she never lost Jolie de vivre. We will all miss her. Elaine May you rest in peace. Friends will be received on Friday, June 23rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road (east of St. Clair Avenue). Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 24th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, 21 Markanna Drive (Kingston Road and Markham Road).
