ELEANOR TROTTIER (nee BRENNAN) Aged 88, born in Montreal, QC, on March 30, 1928 and died in Toronto on July 30, 2016, at the Markham Stouffville Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Albert Trottier also of Montreal. Dearly loved mother of Michael Trottier (Kim), Judy Todaro (Dominic), Norman and the late David Trottier (infant). Beloved grandmother of Jason Trottier (Nada), David, Andrina, Layla Todaro, Jill Drader (Tyler) and Josh Martin (Dara). Beloved great-grandmother to Kinzie Trottier, Jake and Cooper Drader and Mason, Theodore and Hana Martin. Beloved sister to the late Thomas-George, Paul and Francis Brennan. Sister to the Lang siblings, Ethel (Murphy), Rita (Duggan) Norman and the late Earl Lang. Daughter to Thomas and Jesse Brennan and step-daughter to Thomas Lang. Mom was a feisty and spicy woman with authority who never backed down from a fight, especially when it came to protecting her children. She worked at many part time jobs over the years culminating in a 10 year role as a Volunteer at the North York General Hospital. She was a sports fan who lived and died by the Blue Jays, often times criticizing the managers for poor decisions on the field and intimating that she could do a better job. She loved current events and was a self-proclaimed news junkie. Visitation at the PAUL O’CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Pharmacy and Warden), on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospital for Sick Children or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
