ELEANOR MARJORIE ROOKS (BLANCHARD) Passed away peacefully in her 83rd year, on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Eleanor was a brilliant scholar, a gifted musician and a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank Rooks; her sisters, Valene Ward and Lila Tomlinson; her three children: Nancy Tinari, Alan Rooks (Sarah) and Mike Rooks (Pamela); three beloved grandchildren: Abebe Tinari, Daniel Rooks and Margo Rooks; and her brother-in-law, Robert Rooks and his wife, Peggy. Eleanor’s wit, wisdom and fun- loving nature will be greatly missed by her family and her lifelong friends from her youth in Montreal. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held at a future date. Memorial contributions can be made to The Canadian Lung Association.
