KOVACS, Elizabeth Passed away peacefully on April 3, 2017 at Ridgeview Nursing Home, after a lengthy battle with dementia. Elizabeth was born on January 6, 1926 in Mezokeresztes, Hungary. As an expectant mother, along with her three children, she escaped the revolution in 1956. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (nagymama) and friend to many. Elizabeth was the loving and devoted wife of the late Paul (2001), and beloved grandmother of late Nancy (1991). Cherished mother of Paul (Mary), Elizabeth (Bill), Zoltan (Cindy) and Hilda. Loving grandmother to Charlie, Tom (Tracey), Lori (Mike), Michael (Anna), Scott (Vanessa), Jeffrey and Kevin (Robin). Devoted nagymama of Joshua, Teaghan, Brittany, Tyler, Jessica, Tianna, Ozz, Nicholas, Audrey Nolan, Thomas, Emma, Riley and James. Predeceased by loving parents Matyas and Erzsebet Majoros, sister Ilona and brother Janos. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, in Canada and Hungary. Elizabeth was an active member of St. Stephen’s of Hungary Church. She was a member of Rosary Society and enjoyed her interaction with other members of the church. The family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to doctors, nurses, palliative team, and all support staff at Ridgeview for the excellent care provided. You have done an amazing job in keeping her pain-free and comfortable. Special thanks to Fr. Joseph Durkacz for giving mom her last sacrament. Visitation held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. with Rosary at 8:45 p.m. Funeral Mass offered at St. Stephen’s Church on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
