MAARSE, Elizabeth Passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Leo Maarse and wonderful mother to David and Jacqueline (Jeffrey Goodman) and grandmother of Jacob, Dylan, Claire and Sophie. She will also be greatly missed by her sister Isobel Fisher of Longniddry, Scotland and her sister-in-law Aileen Bruce as well as her many other family members and friends. Her life was devoted to the support and care of her family and those around her and she enjoyed her many years in the office at Port Credit Secondary School and Queen Elizabeth Senior Public School. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St. (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 3 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
