ELSIE ADA LAVERTY (nee KEELING) October 10, 1936 – October 24, 2016 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Elsie Ada Laverty on October 24, 2016 at the age of 80. She was surrounded by the people she loved and who loved her immensely. She will forever be missed by her loving husband of 61 years, Sam; son Geordie (Melanie); daughter Megan (Joe); son Bryan-jon (Helen); daughter Christy (Ken); daughter Kelly; sisters Diane and Fran. She will also be missed by grandchildren who lovingly called her Nanny: Shannon, Kristopher, Kaitlin, Soleil, Mason, Kennedy and Emmersen; and great-grandson Gavin. Elsie will also be greatly missed by her extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins and by her many friends. Elsie was a loving wife and mother who loved her family with everything she had. Sincere thanks to the many doctors and nurses at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital and to the team at Thistlecreek Health Care who held Elsie’s hand and gave her the best of care. Visitation will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) Oakville from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016. Service to celebrate the life of Elsie will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home.
