CIGLEN, Estelle Mildred (nee Rosen) – June 14, 1926 – January 7, 2017 Peacefully at the Markham Stouffville Hospital, after a brief illness, in her 91st year, Estelle Mildred (Esther Malka), daughter of the late Irvin Rosen and the late Tillie (Minsky) Rosen. Predeceased by her brother the late Gerald Rosen. Cherished wife of the late Morton Ciglen. Beloved mother of Phil Ciglen (Linda Ruth). Precious bubbie of Sophie Ciglen. Treasured aunt of Paul Rosen (Linda), Carolyn Rosen and Tracey Rosen (Roshan Joseph), and Paul Ciglen (Mary-Lynn Culbert), Lennie Ciglen and Suzy Polgar (Rick). Dear sister-in-law of Ann Rosen and Gordon (Gary) and Toby Ciglen. Also fondly remembered by many great-nephews and nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends. We are very grateful to Kate and the staff of the Unionville Home Society Day Program, who made Mondays a highlight for Estelle all fall, and for the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff of the Markham Stouffville Hospital, who were angels of mercy and kindness and made Estelle’s final days comfortable and peaceful . Funeral service on Tuesday, January 10, 11:30 a.m. at Benjamin’s Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West, Toronto. Interment to follow at Holy Blossom Memorial Park, 66 Brimley Road, Scarborough. Shiva at 682 Village Parkway, Unionville.
