EVELEY, Nicholas Peacefully, with his family by his side on August 9, 2016 at Juravinski Hospital in his 80th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Dawn-Marie (nee Fell). Loving father of Sharon Boettcher (Daryl), Nicholas B. Eveley (Monique), Wayne Eveley, Brandon Eveley and Byron Eveley. Cherished Grampa of Nicole, Jennifer, Ryan, Sarah, Justin, Amy and 6 great-grandchildren. Nicholas will be remembered by his brothers Lloyd (the late Ruth Prosser), William (Betty McLellan), sisters Ursula (the late Ernest “Sonny” Yates), Vera (the late Thomas Young), Hazel (the late Sylvester “Syl” Saniga), Helen (Wilson Hunt), Delores (Robert “Muck” Primmer), sister-in-law Carol Morrison along with 33 nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his brothers Allister (Vera Hynes), Melvin and sister Pauline (Walter Crane). Nicholas was a proud Blue Lodge Mason, Past President of the Hamilton Motor Patrol and member of the Royal Order of Jesters. Special thank you to Sandra for her support and always being by our side. Also, thank you to Nicholas’ cherished and close friends Doug Gowland, his wife Susan, their son Spencer, the late Roger Pollard, his wife Lou, the staff on C3 at Juravinski Hospital and Dr. Dhesy who showed Nicholas so much kindness while they cared for him. Friends will be received at DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME , 36 Lake Ave. Dr., Stoney Creek on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Hamilton Shriners Club, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Epilepsy Foundation would be appreciated.
