Freda MARKHAM
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 28, 2017 at the age of 91 at Southlake Hospital, Newmarket. Predeceased by her husband Charles (2010). Loving and caring mother to Lynda Story (Bob), Charlene Simons (David Sinclair) and Douglas. Grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother Doug Down, brother-in-law Roy (Muriel) and sister-in-law Gwen. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff of the 6th Floor at Southlake Hospital for their exceptional care of Freda. Visitation will be held at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME – NEWMARKET CHAPEL, 524 Davis Dr., 905-898-2100, on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the Chapel on Friday, March 3rd at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Gormley. Donations in memory of Freda may be made to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society .
