STEVENSON, Frederick William —

“All is Well with My Soul”

Died peacefully at the age of 104 on June 21, 2016 at the Veterans Centre (L-Wing) at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Survived by his wife Mary, his son Jack (Anne) and predeceased by son Gary (Fran). Loved his friends and family in Canada and the UK and was very single-minded about staying in contact with them. One of the joys of his life was his five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and the interactions that he had with them. A devout Christian who led by example and worked tirelessly to leave this world a better place. Joined the RCAF in 1941 and was stationed at Pennfield Ridge, NB. It was close to there in St. George, NB where he met ‘Mary Patterson’ and they were married in September 1945. His experience in charge of a field hospital led to his long career in the pharmaceutical industry with Drug Trading Company in Toronto. Special thanks to his many care givers at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and to the many devoted friends and family that visited him while he was there. A celebration of life will be held at Victoria Park United Church, 1 Stamford Square, Scarborough, Ontario at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25th. Fred will never be out of mind just because he is now out of sight. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Victoria Park United Church, 1 Stamford Square, Scarborough, ON M1L 1X4.
