Jake bravely and valiantly fought a battle he knew he couldn’t win, passing away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Beloved husband, of Darlene, for over 50 years. Dearly loved father of Kent (Kirstin), Rebecca (Mark), Clint (Sarah), Brett (Late Yasmine), Hart and Amy-Lee. Cherished grandpa to Rachel, Madison, Hayden, Keira, Silas, Linden and Iris. Our family would like to thank all of the caring doctors, nurses and staff at St. Michael’s Hospital and Southlake Regional Health Centre, who were there for us and with us throughout the sad journey.
A visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket, 905-898-2100, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, April 27th from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in Taylor Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
