ZANINI, GEMMA (nee LINZI) It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Gemma Zanini (nee Linzi) on July 29, 2017, joining her husband Renzo, her mother and sisters. Beloved mother of Marisa, Miriam (Angelo) and Vanda. Loving Nonna of Alessia, Adriana and Stefan. Born in Barazzetto, Friuli in 1927, she came to Canada in 1951 to create a better life for her family. We will always be grateful for her strong faith and inspirational example. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (North of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston, on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2100 Jane St., Toronto, on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
