GEOFFREY WILLIAMS ARNOLDI

(December 24, 1956 – January 14, 2017)

Suddenly and tragically in Creemore, Ontario. Cherished husband of Susan Corbett. Beloved son of the late Tony Arnoldi and the late Barbara Ballentine. Dear father of Michael Arnoldi (Lindsey Mocherniak), Meghan Arnoldi, Kristopher Phippen (Alisa Jonas), and Jillian May (Jeffrey), and loving Poppa Geef of Ainslee Phippen and Ava May. Loving brother of Janice Arnoldi (Robin McPherson), John Arnoldi (Jodi), Tony “Laird” Arnoldi (Christina). Loving uncle to Jake and Jasper Arnoldi. Fondly remembered by Anne Thompson (Steve), William Pringle (Stephanie Miller), and Andrew Pringle (Rylee Mezzarobba).

Geoff’s life broadly encompassed family, sport and business. Graduate of Upper Canada College and Queen’s University (1975-1979). He loved his 30 years working in senior roles at major marketing and advertising agencies, but was happiest running his own business, The Arnoldi Group.

Geoff was a sportsman to his core – hockey with great accomplishment, skiing and golf with great enthusiasm, and all things athletic with a strong sense of fun and a spirit of healthy competition.

Geoff was a family man at heart, most recently enjoying the constant ebb and flow of the extended and extensive family created by his marriage with Sue.

Geoff was a social man, who always had a sparkle in his eyes and a warm smile. A friend to all, he always enjoyed a big, raucous party with his many close friends, a great cigar, a steak dinner, slightly loud, and more than slightly outdated music, and energetic dancing that had to be seen to be appreciated. Favourite places: Lake of Bays (Bigwin Island Golf Club), Creemore (Devil’s Glen Ski Club), Lawrence Park and Toronto Golf Club.

Friends and family gathered for a boisterous birthday party on December 23rd to celebrate Geoff’s 60th. Sadly, only three weeks later, Geoff was taken from us; the echoes from his hearty laugh just faded from the room.

The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. There will be a private family funeral service. A reception to celebrate Geoff’s life will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Rosedale Golf Club in Toronto
