Peacefully, at the Village of Erin Meadows, Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Olga (nee Semotiuk) for 63 years. Loving father of Brian, Linda, Allen (Nora) and Betty Jane “BJ” MacDowell (David). Cherished Gido of Daniel (Erin), Jenna (Jon), Stephanie (Nicholas), Tommasina and Joseph (Nadine). Adored “Great Gido” of James and Elijah, “Gido George” of Jakob and Olivia. Brother-in-law of Rita Dowhaniuk. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Victor and Katherine Dowhaniuk, sisters Alice Dowhaniuk, Rose Poznansky, Mary Woytkiw and brother Bill Dowhaniuk.
