SHERMAN, Gisela Tobien October 18, 1947 – April 23, 2017 Suddenly, while enjoying her favourite pastime, walking through the Dundas woods on Sunday, April 23, 2017, we lost our beloved Gisela. She will be forever missed by her husband Frank, daughters Rebecca, Jainna, son Charlie (Alexandra Weaver), sisters Barbara MacDougall (Ian Thomas) and Helga Graham (Stewart), nieces and nephews Ian, Heather, Katrina, Joshua, Alexander, Amanda, Melissa, Kiley and Ethan, and many family members and friends. Predeceased by her parents Anneliese and Siegfried Tobien. Gisela was a teacher, published author, and actor. She loved all things nature, books, hiking, cycling and gardening. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend; a beautiful, selfless, kind hearted spirit who will be missed by many. Visitation will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home, 195 King Street West, Dundas, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. A private family service will be held, with a celebration of her life at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
