Gordon Robert FRASER

July 12, 1926 – January 8, 2017

Passed away peacefully in Scarborough, surrounded by family in his 91st year. Son of George Ewart Fraser and Cissy Cross. Predeceased by his beloved wife Jean (Peacock). Survived by his dear brother Keith and predeceased by sister Jean. Wonderful father to Steve (Lidy) and Linda Rublee. Amazing Grampa to Douglas, Joanne, Stefanie and Elyse and Great-Grampa to Rhys, Shayne, Liam and Lochlan. Longtime member of Knox United Church, Agincourt and participant in countless other Scarborough community organizations.

During his retirement, Gordon was known throughout the community for his love of puttering, running errands and chocolate bars. In his younger years, he was a Bevin Boy, conscripted to work in the coal mines of the UK during WWII. He soon after moved to Canada, to begin what would become a long and satisfying career at Bell. Grampa will be achingly missed by all of us for his generosity, kindness, warmth and sense of humour.

Friends will be received at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Avenue E., on Saturday, January 14th at 10 a.m. until time of service in the Ogden Chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
