GORDON RAYMOND BELCHER Residential Counsellor Supervisor at the Huronia Regional Centre for 27 years. Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34, Orillia. Served in the Royal Canadian Navy 1940-1945. Past Master of Victoria Lodge 470, A.F. & A.M. Victoria Harbour. Passed away peacefully at Victoria House on January 17, 2017; in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Vera S. (nee Quibell). Loving father of the late Kenneth Charles Belcher. Survived by his siblings Edna Barratt (Gordon), Jean Calvert and Lorne Belcher (Theresa) and by his sisters-in-law Beryl Belcher and Barb Belcher. Predeceased by his siblings Pearl, Jack, Lloyd, Charles and Gladys and by his brothers- in-law Clarence, Bud and Bert. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and their families. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Victoria House for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Gordon. Following cremation, visitation will be held on Friday, January 20th from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia. A Service to Celebrate Gordon’s Life will be held in the chapel on Saturday, January 21st at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34 – Poppy Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
