GREGORY ALLAN LEADBEATER It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the untimely and sudden passing of our dearest son, brother, uncle and friend to many while vacationing at the family cottage near Kingston, Ontario on July 11, 2016 at the age of 61 years. Beloved son of Thelma Leadbeater (and the late Lloyd), most cherished brother of Wayne (Hildegard), deeply loved uncle to Matthew, Heather, Jennifer (Trevor) and granddaughter Beth. Specially loved Godparent to Brittany and Paige McLean. Beloved nephew of Freda Gray (and the late Merton) and cousins Paul Gray (Cathie) and Cynthia Higgins (Keith). Greg was born in Kingston, Ontario on January 29, 1955. He was a graduate of Ryerson University and his profession was in the Medical Sciences field where he was a principal with Core Cryolab in Toronto. Both in his personal and professional life, Greg was energetic, fun and full of compassion for others. He was held in the highest esteem by his peers and will be dearly missed by all his friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity. An ardent golfer, his most anticipated vacation each year was the annual golf trip to Palm Springs with his brother and nephew, this time was so special to him. A private family funeral will be held on Friday, July 15th at St. George’s Cathedral in Kingston followed by a Celebration of Life for friends and family to be held at the Weston Golf & Country Club, 50 St. Phillips Road, Toronto on Sunday, July 17th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. If desired, a charitable donation in Greg’s memory to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation, The Salvation Army, Covenant House or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
