GUINTO, Deacon Gerry Surrounded by his family, Gerry passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Leonida (Carlos) for 46 years. Loving father of Gerald (Christina), Geoffrey (Courtney), and Gregory (Victoria). He will be missed by grandchildren Vanessa, Rachel, Mariella, Gavin and Miles. Dear brother of Flora Estrabillo (Dan). Predeceased by brother Gregorio Jr. (wife Conchita) along with extended family members in both Canada, USA and the Philippines. After retiring from Stelco, Gerry followed his passion and became a deacon at Assumption Parish for 10 years. We would like to thank the many devoted family and friends who have supported us during this difficult time with love, support and prayers. Especially Father Dave, the Assumption Parish and Filipino communities. Special thanks to Dr. Keith, Alice Guibao, Dr. Wen Chen and wife Mina, Dr. Morwena, and Linda Borger (CCAC) for all their support. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home , 947 Rymal Road East (Hamilton) on Wednesday, August 31st from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday September 1st from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. (Vigil prayers at 7 p.m.). Funeral mass at Assumption Parish, Stoney Creek on Friday at 11 a.m., September 2nd. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of your choice.
