BARDELEBEN, Gunter —
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Hospital in Port Perry on March 8, 2017 in his 97th year. Predeceased by his wife, Margaret, of 69 years. Beloved father of John (Mary). Cherished grandfather of Nicole Savage (Charles), Michael Bardeleben (Jennifer) and Corey Mason. Proud Great-Grandpa to Gabriel, Ethan, Samantha, Evelyn and Mia. In 1945, he volunteered with the Canadian Army as a medic and translator and was deployed to Germany where he met Margaret and John. He led a full and enriching life and had an impact on everyone one he met. Gunter will be remembered for his generosity and quick wit. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jennifer Joncas and Catherine Hogel who provided Gunter with a level of care above and beyond all expectations. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Prince Albert, ON, June 24th at 12:00 p.m.
