HAROLDARTHUR PEPALL

HAROLD ARTHUR PEPALL September 10, 1923 – April 27, 2017 On April 27, 2017, Harold passed away peacefully at Markham Stouffville Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Louise (1980). He is survived by his sister Lorraine (Jim Riddell), children Gail (Bob Willis), Doug (Debby) and Joanne (Jim Allin). He was a loving Grandad to Brendan (Alexandra), Kevin, Kirstyn, Eryn (Blake), Trevor, Ryan and Kerri. Also Great- Grandad to Eve and Poppy. He is also survived by his friend, travel companion and love, Eleanor Kotzan. Harold had a long and fascinating life. He was born in Toronto, and lived there most of his life. After a stint in the Army in WWII, he followed in his father’s footsteps and worked his entire career for Consumers’ Gas. He had an active and curious mind until the end; unfortunately his various health and mobility issues prevented him from living the kind of life he’d have enjoyed for the last year or so. He loved science fiction, travel and dancing with the Widow and Widowers Club but his greatest passion was spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise of Unionville, where he lived for the past year. Cremation has taken place. At his request, there will be no funeral. In keeping with his wishes, a Celebration of life will take place on Thursday, May 4th, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Victoria Room at the Angus Glen Golf Club, 10080 Kennedy Road, Markham (just north of Major Mackenzie Drive. Enter the clubhouse via the red door). All are welcome to come and share stories about Harold with family and friends.
