BARKOVICH, Helen Passed away peacefully at Pine Villa Nursing Home, on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the age of 90. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, Ivan. Loving mother of Mary Markesic (the late Ferdo) and Joseph (Kimberley). Loving baba of Kathy (Mikica), Steve (Adrienne), Peter (Alexandra); Steven, Andy, and Joseph and their mother Julie Losani. Fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren Anna, Kristina, Nicole, Peter, Martin, Luke, Avery, and Jacob. Predeceased by her parents Steve and Mary Barkovich and one sister. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday from 5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Prayer Vigil at 7:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
