DEATHS Helen Mary Di Tommaso August 5, 1938 – June 30, 2017 Peacefully, at home, in the arms of Aldo, her beloved husband and best friend of 54 years. Loving mother of Lorenzo (Diane), Jason, and Cyrus (Armelle). Predeceased by her treasured and deeply missed daughter, Tanya Adele. Devoted Grammie of Lily, Abby, and Georgia, and of Yann-Luca, Amélie, and Roman. Dear sister of Sandra McDonald. Voracious travelers, Helen and Aldo explored every corner of Europe, especially France and Italy. Helen is the author of many books of poetry as well as plays and works of fiction. The family extends its gratitude to all the physicians, nurses, and hospital staff who cared for Helen for many decades, in particular Dr. Judah A. Denburg. An exceptionally close-knit and generous group of neighbours has for many years provided Helen and Aldo with the invaluable gift of a second family, as have their lifelong friends at the YMCA. In accordance with Helen’s wishes, a family service has taken place. Friends are invited to make a donation to Lupus Ontario.
