CONRAD, Helmut Horst Gerhard May 21, 1925 – August 7, 2017 Helmut is survived by his wife of 68 years Ruth, son Wayne (Nina) and grandchildren Stafford, Valentina, Sasha, Luba (Jonny), Oksana and Michael. He was a pilot and metal aircraft builder where he spent 33+ years working for DeHavilland Aircraft taking great pride in working on “aircraft number one” of the Beaver, Otter, Caribou, Buffalo, Twin Otter, Dash 7 and Dash 8 aircraft and on the Bras D’Or Hydrofoil. He mentored and became co-inventor with his son on many patents. Celebration of Life August 11, 2017. Location: 420 Wing, 1000 Stevenson Rd.
