HENRYKALUBINSKI

HENRYKA LUBINSKI January 6, 1927 – March 10, 2017 Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Henryka was the beloved wife of the late Jerzy Jan Lubinski (2002). Predeceased by her cherished son Alan (1964) and her closely-bonded brother Leszek and sister Lucyna. Dear mother of Alice Hansen and her husband Carl and Robert and his wife Tiffany. Devoted Babcia of Thomas Hansen (Stephanie), Carolyn Terzievski (Dan) and Julianna Hansen (Kyle). Very proud great-grandmother of Gabriella and Lucy Terzievski and Jack and Claire Ciufo. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Henryka lived a full life and overcame many difficult challenges. Most important to her was her family. She was always delighted to have a visit with family to brighten her day. With strength and courage, she survived a forced relocation to Siberia in World War II where she lost her mother, three brothers, two sisters, and later, the tragic loss of her oldest son in England. Born in Poland, her life story took her through times living in Palestine and England before coming to Toronto in 1965. Henryka worked hard along with her husband to build a good life in Canada and enjoyed 44 years in the same home on her quiet east-Toronto street. Even at age 89, she could be seen mowing her lawn and tending her garden full of beautiful flowers. She recently moved to Delmanor Wynford and enjoyed her time living there. She will always be in the hearts of her family. Service will be held March 13, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough.
