Lynda Winifred HOLMES
HOLMES, Lynda Winifred Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Cancer Hospital on January 21, 2017 in her 75th year. Loving Daughter of Albert and Alice Holmes. She is survived by her life partner Wayne C. Pfeiffer for 24 years, her brother Gary Douglas Holmes, daughters Lisa (Mark) and Lori (Steve), son Randall (Jessica) and stepdaughters Claire (Jesse) and Zoe (Jeff). Loving grandma to Wayde, Nathan, Vanessa, Alice, Silas, Madeleine and Julian. Lynda was born in Hamilton (Bartonville) on August 22, 1942. She resided in Hamilton while raising her children. After a short residence in Brantford she resided in Guelph with Wayne. She worked in Public Relations for the Hamilton Spectator for several years until chronic illness forced her to retire to Guelph. She was widely revered for her gentle demeanor and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Donations can be made to the Juravinski Hospital in Lynda’s memory. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
