HORACE IVAN (DAN) DANTER WWII Veteran. S/Sgt Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in his 92nd year. Survived by his wife Marion of 71 years. Father of Douglas (Jackie), David (deceased) and Nancy (deceased). Remembered by grandchildren Adam, Heather, Brittny and Chrissy, along with 8 great-grandchildren. Also fondly remembered by his sister Elizabeth. Horace was a Past Master of Prince of Wales No. 630 Lodge, a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Rameses Shrine and the Shrine Legion of Honour. He was also Past President of Mackenzie Health Hospital Volunteers Association, where he served as a volunteer for 32 years. Friends may call at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME (10366 Yonge Street), Richmond Hill. Visitation is Friday, June 23rd from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a 15 minute Masonic Ceremony at 7:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 24th at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Inurnment will occur at a later date at Elgin Mills Cemetery. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to The Shriners Hospital for Children (Montreal Unit), or any charity of your choice.
