HOWARD JOE, C.L BSc Retired P. Eng. At the Niagara Health System General Site on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the age of 94 years. Dear husband of Barbara James and the late Hazel (1993). Father of Gerald, Brian, Susan and the late Stephen (2015), step-father of Jim (Susan), Tom (Nancy), Jason Towne and Katherine Last (Roland). He will be missed by his granddaughters Alexandra, Christiana, Gwenyth and Abigail Towne. He is survived by his brother Dr. Alan Joe (Juliana), nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Yip (Ed) Howard was a member of First Grantham United Church, a choir member for over 50 years, graduate of University of Toronto Electrical Engineering, Past Chair of the IES Hamilton Branch and past member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario. Thank you to the staff at NHS – St. Catharines Site that treated Howard with the respect and dignity he deserved and Dr. Kolenchenko. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at the BUTLER FUNERAL HOME, 424 Niagara St., St. Catharines, on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 2 – 4 p.m. A Celebration of Howard’s life will take place at FIRST GRANTHAM UNITED CHURCH, 415 Linwell Rd., St. Catharines, on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. with visitation in the Fellowship Room from 10 a.m. until service time.
