SANTI, Inez In the comforting presence of her family, Inez passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Caroline Place Retirement Residence in her 96th year. Inez was the loving wife of the late Bruno Santi. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Angelo and Susanne Santi, Dennis and Diane Santi, Roberta Santi and Colin May, Gregory and Wendy Santi, Zachary Santi and Heather Marsden. She was the dearly loved Nonna of Jason and Stephanie, Isaac and Ali, Selena and Anthony, Andrea and Nino, Bronwyn and Rob, Alexandra and Stefan, Zoe and Rocco. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Ethan, Phoenix, Emily, Raven, Leonardo, Mia, and Eve. Daughter of the late Antonio and Regina Cometto and daughter-in law of the late Angelo and Pierina Santi. Loving sister-in-law of the late Rino and Bernice Santi and sister to four brothers and their wives. She had many nieces, nephews and cousins and life-long friends who were dear to her. Inez was a member of the St. Anthony’s Catholic Women’s League and the Venetian Club of Hamilton. In 1946, with her husband Bruno and her brother-in-law Rino, she helped open Santi Bros. Meats on Wentworth St. which was in business from 1946-1987. She was an avid and excellent cook who will be fondly remembered for her spirit, generosity, and devotion to her family. We wish to thank Dr. De Rubeis, the staff of Caroline Place Retirement Residence, Community Care Access Center, and the Veterans Affairs Canada for their support, kindness and caring. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL 43 Barton St. East (near James) on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 20 Idlewood Ave., Hamilton, ON, with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
