KING, IRENE LOUISE (nee BROADFOOT) January 7, 1927 – September 23, 2017 With much love and a wealth of memories, we share with you the passing of Irene King, dear widow to Wally, mother to Blair, mother-in-law to Julie; devoted Grammie to Haleigh, aunt to Kim, Tracy, Leslie and their families; dear family friend to all including the Nedhams, Campbells, Whitfields, Farmers, Wises, Kings, Burnetts and helpful neighbours, among many others. Waiting for Irene was Wally, her parents Peggy and Neil, and brother John “Jack”. Irene peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga, in the arms of her darling granddaughter, Haleigh, and niece, Leslie the Autumn Pixie. With a great love of musical entertaining, gardening and writing, our dear Irene was also a lovely fashion inspiration to us all. Irene marveled at everyone’s kindness and we were blessed with her genuine personality, warm thoughts and eternal devotion. Cremation has taken place.
