IreneMay CRAIG

CRAIG, Irene May Irene passed into the wonderful Presence of her Lord Jesus, the morning of September 12, 2017. She was deeply loved by her brothers and her parents and is with them forevermore. She was devoted to the care of her brother Hammy and said of him: “He was as kind at home as he was outside of the home.” Kindness yields to kindness. Irene loved all creatures great and small. She had a keen sense of humour, a ready laugh and a wonderful smile. She also had backbone and a keen sense of dignity. Irene spent her last years at Nisbet Lodge where she received excellent care. Her portion was not an easy one, and she endured her suffering with grace. When her brother Matthew and close family friends went to visit her, her eyes conveyed recognition and peace. She often prayed through the hours of the night. She loved the words of the old hymn: “O Love that wilt not let me go” and now has full experience, in joy and beauty, of the promise: O Joy that seekest me through pain, I cannot close my heart to thee; I trace the rainbow through the rain, And feel the promise is not vain, That morn shall tearless be. Please join us for a service of celebration on Wednesday, October 11th at 3 p.m. at Calvary Church, Toronto (746 Pape Ave.). “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.” Arrangements entrusted to Trull Funeral Home-Danforth Chapel. www.trullfuneralsdanforth.com
