IRMA TOMEI (nee BONNE) It is with tremendous sorrow that we announce the death of Irma Tomei (nee Bonne) on December 27, 2016 at the age of 85 in Toronto. Born in Supino, Italy, on July 1, 1931. She was a tenacious and spirited woman whose presence never failed to delight those of whom privileged enough to call her a friend, neighbour or relative. A fixture in the Corso Italia neighborhood, she was happiest in her lush and bountiful garden, planting tomatoes and other produce to be shared with her community and family. Devoted wife to the late Rocco Tomei. Mother to Angela (Wayne), Joanne (David) and Laura (Jason). Beloved grandmother to Michael (Marlene), Samantha (Loren), Brooke, Brandon, Katie, Kelly and Trinity-Anne. Great- grandmother to Cameron, Reid and Ray. Visitation will be held at the Bernardo Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. on December 30, 2016. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. at the St. Clare Catholic Church on December 31, 2016.
