LONG, James Allen “Jim” He was our strength, our loving guide, loyal friend and tireless helper. He was our everything. It is with profound sadness that our family shares the passing of a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and friend on June 20, 2017. A cherished husband and friend of Monica for 53 years. He was a devoted and loving father to Bill and his wife Lori, Jack and his wife Radene and Jennifer and her husband Mark. He will be remembered as a dotting Papa by his grandchildren Jessica, James, Julia, John, Zachery, Christian and Caleb. Dearly missed by his siblings Doug (Ruth), Lynda (Charlie), Bill (Susan) and their families. Survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Longtime best friend to Carmelita and Eddie, Reid and Gail. A gathering of family & friends will be held at MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. A Time of Celebration of Jim’s life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.
