JAMES”JIM” MEISNER

“JIM” JAMES MEISNER On April 9, 2017, after a short and courageous battle with cancer, Mr. Jim Meisner of Brampton peacefully passed away at home in the company of his loving wife of 37 years, Cindy Meisner. This was made possible by the compassionate and best efforts of Dr. Jivan as well as the Brampton Palliative Care Team. Born in Windsor, ON, in 1954 to Bill and Ruth Meisner, Jim was the youngest brother to Bill and Robert. He was a fantastic father to his only son, Blair Meisner. Wonderful uncle to Sarah and Maddie Graham and Kevin and Cory Meisner. He was a man of great work ethic, a trusted, longtime employee of Graham Brothers Construction and avid outdoorsman who was always eager to make someone smile and laugh. Jim was responsible for generating many great memories with family and friends at the family cottage in Port Severn and family condo in Naples, Florida. In lieu of flowers, Jim and family ask that a donation be made in his name to the Georgian Bay Land Trust (www.gblt.org) to help preserve the areas he loved so much, or towards the new Peel Memorial Hospital, Brampton. The family will be planting an Eastern White Pine in dedication in a Brampton park. Visitation services to be held at Ward Funeral Home in Brampton (52 Main Street South), on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church Anglican Brampton (4 Elizabeth North), at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Interment to follow at Brampton Cemetery. A Celebration of life will follow at Carl’s Catering. Please visit The Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com
