James “Jimmy” Johnston June 10, 1931-September 20, 2017 Died peacefully in his 87th year with his family by his side. Beloved husband and companion to Betty for 62 years. Loving father and inspiration to Jim (Jana) and Debra. Cherished and devoted grandpa to Scott (Vanessa), Kevin (Robin), Brooke (Nick) and Brandon (Sydney). Awesome great-grandpa to Audrey, Nolan, Emma, Riley and James. Will also be missed by Frances, Pat and all his nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada, England, Ireland and Australia. Special thanks to the incredible staff on Elm Terrace at St. Peter’s at Chedoke and the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their caring and compassionate treatment of our loved one. A Memorial Visitation will be held at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME – “William J. Markey Chapel” 947 Rymal Road E. HAMILTON (905-574-0405) on Friday, September 29 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
