“JIM” JAMES JOHN HERMANUS Born June 10, 1934, in Toronto, Ontario. Jim died peacefully surrounded by his family, on February 27, 2017, in his 83rd year. He retired at the age of 51 after 30 years on the Toronto Police Force. He lived his retirement years to the fullest, travelling across the globe with his wife Gloria. A loving and gentle giant, whose bark was worse than his bite, Jim will be truly missed by his beloved wife Gloria, always by his side. His children, Casey (Valda), Carrie (Tom) and Connie (John) and his step-children Kim (Craig), Mike (Jen) and Tracy (Jeff). He will be missed by his 18 grandchildren, his 10 great- grandchildren and 3 great- great-grandchildren. He will also be greatly missed by his brother Bill (Daphne), who is always there to lend a helping hand and his dear friends Rick and Rosemary, along with many others. A celebration of life will take place at a future date. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
