A warm, selfless, loving wife, mother, nana, sister and friend passed away peacefully in Toronto on August 25, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife (for 52 years) of Russell Adams. Loving mother of Mary-Ellen (Greg Parent), Michael (Nadine Adams), Ann-Marie (Todd Hazlewood) and Susan (Chris Higgins). Proud and cherished Nana to Michael, Hailey, Alexandra, Sierra, Matthew and Jenny. Survived by her brother Frank (Helen Enever) and sisters Marjorie (Bill Halliday), Shirley Boynton and Ruth Hesmondhalgh. Predeceased by her parents Ellie and George Enever and brother Ronald Enever. Caring sister-in law to Carol (Barry MacFarlane), Michael (Helen Adams) and Larry (Marge Adams). Thoughtful aunt to many nieces and nephews. Jean worked for many years at E.A. Manning Ltd. and will be greatly missed by her extended family there. Jean was a talented artist and over the years gifted beautiful pieces of her creations to family and friends, which will be cherished forever. Jean was a loving and caring soul with a gentle and compassionate heart. She will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to have been touched by her life.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Lynett Funeral Home (3299 Dundas St. West) from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 31st at 11 a.m. in the chapel. A reception will follow the service in the lounge. Burial to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd., Etobicoke). In lieu of flowers, donations to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Young Women With Breast Cancer (PYNK) program or PAWS (Peoples Animal Welfare Society) would be appreciated.
