JIMMIEDITTBURNER

DITTBURNER, Jimmie Gustave —

Jim died peacefully at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga, on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of 43 years of the late Ingrid Dittburner (nee Teunissen). Much loved father of his daughter Morgen, his son Trask and wife Sabina. Cherished grandpa of Dillon. Dear brother of sisters Helen Deslaurier, Mona Brydges (Donald), Doris Forsythe (Gordon), Betty Ross (Barry), Dorothy Handfield (Ralph) and brother Robert Dittburner (Doreen). Predeceased by brother Gordon Dittburner and sisters Willa Smith and Arlene McNamara. Lovingly remembered by family Marina Gunter (Chloe, Max and Kyle), Boris and Michelle Skocajic (Kaitlyn), Tony Miller and many family and lifelong friends in the Ottawa Valley. Uncle Jimmie will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Jim was a mobile crane operator who worked all across Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, as well as a proud Ontario Pork Producer for nearly ten years in Haley Station. Jim will be remembered as ‘one of a kind’ with a great sense of adventure. He was always willing to help a friend; always knew how to build it or fix it; always enjoyed a great conversation and a home cooked meal and never failed to have a great story to share. Of late, he was the proud Papa of a big goofy St. Bernard named Rosie who was the apple of his eye, and ‘Grampa’ to his newest happy puppy Bear. Friends may call at Turner & Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of QEW) from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 24th at 11 a.m. Cremation. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Mississauga Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
