JimPOOLE

POOLE, Jim It’s with such heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Jim on Friday, July 7, 2017. Jim fought courageously, but lost his short battle with cancer at the age of 63, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, with family at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Linda and his step- children Stacy (Anne), Debbie (Matt) and Lori. He will be so dearly missed by his beloved grandchildren Briana, Rhyan, Rhys, Tyler and Natasha. Also, he will be sadly missed by his sisters Debbie (Keith) and Suzanne (Brian) and was predeceased by his brother Larry (Sue). He will be fondly remembered by all his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and colleagues. Jim was born in Toronto, but as a young lad moved to Oakville, becoming a longtime resident and that is where he met Linda. Together they built a wonderful life together with the kids and grandkids. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren and watching as many of their activities and sports as he could. Jim also loved to spend time golfing, or with Linda watching the Blue Jays or Leaf games on TV. He also played a mean game of Scrabble on the back deck! His devotion also extended to his work life, as he was a valued employee of Parmalat Canada for over 30 years. He was so dedicated to everything he did both in his work and with his family; he was admired and loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A memorial service celebrating Jim will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017.
