IRWIN, Joan (nee Hopkins) —
August 9, 1929 – January 1, 2017
Passed away peacefully in Toronto, Joan was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Irwin and the devoted mother of her sons Syd and Ron. Joan was born on Australia’s Gold Coast and dreamed from an early age of exploring the world beyond the Outback. After completing her nursing studies, she did just that. She travelled the globe many times over and finally settled in Toronto; her adventures and fun continued. Joan was a longtime and active member of Timothy Eaton Memorial Church.
