KELLY, Joan It is with great sadness that we announce that our devoted mother Joan Kelly peacefully passed away on July 13, 2017 surrounded lovingly by her family. She was the wife of the late Derek P. Kelly and the daughter of the late James and Violet. Joan is survived by her son Russell Kelly and his wife Tammy of Burlington, Susan LaCroix and her husband Paul of Louisville, Kentucky, Lisa Skelding and her husband Neil of Oakville. Grandchildren include Meghan and Graham Kelly, Justin and Zachary LaCroix, Sarah, Sydney and Samantha Skelding, Joan is also survived by her special great-grand- daughter Rylee Jane LaCroix. Also mourning her passing is her sister Nora Clark, sister-in-law Mary, both of Great Britain. Along with being a wonderful mother, Joan actively enjoyed life and had been a long time member of the Burlington Lawn Bowling Club, Burlington Seniors Centre. She also enjoyed badminton, theatre, walking and dancing. The family would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Strang, St. Elizabeth nurses Cynthia and Annalise, Home Instead PSWs Donna, Terry, Malvis and Heather, for their outstanding care and support during Joan’s at-home palliative care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. A private memorial service will be held by invitation only for the family members and close friends.
