ALCOCK, Joan Marilyn (nee RICHARDSON) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joan in her 86th year on Sunday, July 9, 2017 after suffering a massive stroke at her cottage. Beloved wife of Ron for 63 years, cherished mother of Scott (JoAnne), Kerry (Richard) and dearest grandmother of Mackenzie, Garrett, Blake, Wyatt, Brett and Zachary. Predeceased by her brother Murray and survived by her sister-in-law Carol. She will be greatly missed by dear friend Betty Barron and their Thursday afternoon tea of 60 years. Friends may call at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East in Scarborough, on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Jubilee United Church on 40 Underhill Drive, North York on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11 a.m., reception to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation would be appreciated. Her prim & proper ways will be dearly missed.
