WHITE, Joe It is with broken hearts we share the passing of Joseph Ernie White on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Louella, daughter Melony and son- in-law Troy, son Jimmy and Bee, ever loved grandchildren Win, Taryn and Ruby, in-laws Gloria and the late Patrick Burke, sister Rose (Bill Brown) of Alberta and 9 other brothers and sisters. Joe will be missed by his brothers and sisters-in- law and many nieces and nephews. Joe is predeceased by his mother Cecilia White (Cape Breton), brother Johnny and his hero and niece, Jennifer. He was a retired long time employee of Dofasco (riggers dept). His love for family, music, dogs and nature will always be remembered. We will celebrate his life at Copetown Woods Golf Club, 1430 Conc 2 Rd West on Sunday, July 23 from 1-3 p.m. for a visitation, 3 p.m. for prayer/ eulogy readings followed by a light luncheon. Burial will take place on Monday, July 24 at 11 a.m. at Mt Zion Cemetery at 244 Hwy 52 in Copetown. In lieu of flowers a donation to Stedman Community Hospice Hankinson House would be appreciated, as it brought great comfort to Joe in his final days. A special thanks to all the staff at The Stedman Community Hospice Hankinson House, Dr. Montour and nurse Jeanette, Dr. Dath and receptionist Sharon and Dr. Smosarski. Another special thank you to Lydia, a musical therapist intern who shared Joe’s love of music on her Monday visits while at the hospice. ” For those you love don’t go away, they walk beside you every day.”
