JOHN EDWARD CLOSS (Formerly of Aurora) Passed away peacefully at Maplewood Manor on Monday, August 22, 2016 in his 94th year. Retired Superintendent of the OPP No. 8 District. Loving husband of June E. Closs for 72 years. Dear father of Lynn Tomlinson (Pete) of Qualicum Beach, BC, Wendy Coe (Jim) of Brighton and Mike (Jeannine) of Bobcaygeon. Also survived by several grandchildren and great- grandchildren. John will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family, friends and all who knew him. In accordance with John’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, Peterborough. A private interment will be held at the Little Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
