John (Jack) MATWYSN
MATWYSN, John (Jack) 1926 – 2017 Today, and with sorrow, we announce the passing of John Matwysn at the age of 91. A man of real integrity and whose presence filled the room, Jack’s departure leaves an empty place in the lives of his son, Jeff, and his grandson, Eric. He will be greatly missed by his great-granddaughter Averie-Lynn who, now 5, spent many hours in deep conversation with him. His daughter, Janice, will also miss his influence in her life. Our country, too, has lost another WWII Veteran. Another man who defended this country in the trenches of Europe yet never felt he was owed anything in return. Rest now in peace, Jack, and thank you for all you’ve been to all of us.
