John LIPA
LIPA, John It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Lipa on April 14, 2017 in his 87th year. Loving husband to Mary for 62 years. Cherished father to Deborah Blain (Leo), Michael (Penny) and Nancy Inch (Geoff). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Dylan (Jill), Sean, Leah, Kathryn, Madisen and Cooper, and his brother Michael (the late Anne) and family. In 1949 John started his electrical apprenticeship at F.R. Close Technical Institute in Hamilton. He was a member of the IBEW for 64 years. John was an avid hunter and wildlife enthusiast, he was a member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters since 1956 and was a long time member at the Hamilton Gun Club. A funeral service will take place at DODSWORTH & BROWN ANCASTER CHAPEL (378 Wilson Street East) on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10.00 a.m. A special thank you to the nurses and staff of Hamilton General Hospital Acute Care 8 West for their care and compassion. In memory of John donations to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
